Privacy Policy

Effective September 7, 2026

This policy explains how Absolutely Amazing People (AAP, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information across Atlas Go, including this website, the student workspace, the AI advisor, and the institutional admin portal. It applies whether you are a prospective user joining our waitlist, a student using Atlas Go day to day, or an administrator or instructor at a partner institution.

Information we collect

Waitlist signups collect your email address and university or school. Demo requests collect your name, institution, role, work email, and any optional message you include. Both forms record when you submitted and that you agreed to be contacted.

When you create an Atlas Go account, we collect your name, university email, program, and year, along with any profile details you choose to add. Using the product adds academic data you create or connect yourself, such as courses, assessments, deadlines, schedule entries, and tasks.

The AI advisor processes the questions you ask it and the course context needed to answer them, such as your enrolled courses and upcoming deadlines. We keep a record of these conversations to provide support, improve the advisor, and review escalations that were sent to a human.

For the admin portal, instructors and program administrators may upload syllabi and curriculum materials. These are processed to extract competency mappings and learning objectives for that institution’s own programs. This data comes from institutional staff, not from students, and is kept separate per institution.

Like most web services, we also collect basic technical information automatically, such as browser type, device information, and log data, mainly to keep the site secure and working correctly.

How we use this information

We use this information to operate and improve Atlas Go, populate your dashboard and schedule, power the AI advisor’s answers, generate the admin portal’s competency heatmap, respond to demo requests, send launch and product updates, maintain security, and meet legal obligations.

The AI advisor is designed to support planning and answer questions using your real course data and cited policy sources. It does not make automated academic decisions on your behalf, and it is built to escalate sensitive or policy-critical questions to a human rather than guess. We do not use your academic data to build a profile of you for advertising, and we do not sell personal information.

Storage and security

Atlas Go is built on Supabase, and we aim to keep student and institutional data resident in Canada, in keeping with our commitment to Canadian data sovereignty. Data is encrypted in transit, and access is limited to authorized AAP team members who need it to operate the service, along with authorized staff at your institution where they administer the admin portal for their own programs. Public visitors can submit information through our forms, but cannot read waitlist, demo, or account records.

Sharing information

We share information only where needed to run Atlas Go: with infrastructure and service providers who host or process data on our behalf, and with your institution for the specific portal features it uses, such as competency coverage drawn from its own syllabi. Curriculum and syllabus data submitted by one institution is not shared with another. We may disclose information if required by law, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information. We do not sell personal information or share it with advertisers.

Data retention

We keep account and academic data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. Waitlist and demo request information is kept until launch or until you ask us to remove it, whichever comes first. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we delete or anonymize it.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and you can withdraw consent or unsubscribe from updates at any time. Waitlist and demo requests require explicit consent before submission. To make a request, contact us using the details below.

Children’s privacy

Atlas Go is intended for university students, faculty, and staff, and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Atlas Go develops, particularly as we move from waitlist and demo requests toward full student and institutional launch. We will update the effective date above when we do, and we will let you know about material changes.
